The 3 Common Freak Outs Post Eyebrow Microblading Tattoo

The 3 most common freak-outs” a new client experiences following an eyebrow Microblading, or other forms of eyebrow tattoo treatments are consistently:

  • My eyebrows tattoos are too dark or thick
  • My eyebrows tattoos are scabbing and peeling
  • My eyebrows are gone!

The day of, and a couple of days following an eyebrow microblading or brow tattoo procedure, your brows may appear a lot thicker and darker to you. There are several factors which make them appear this way, mainly due to the build-up and drying process of the lymph nodes post procedure. Rest assured both the thickness and darkness of your brow tattoos will subside in the coming days.

The fading, and loss of tattooed hair strokes during the healing process is just common, it is expected. Don’t be alarmed, your tattoos are still there, beneath the transparent new skin forming following the procedure. They will appear

Microblading Aftercare Guide

  1. Clean Hands

Wash hands thoroughly with antibacterial soap before touching the treated area.

  1. Wash Your Brows

Wash the treated area with a sanitized, damp cloth using only distilled or filtered water, every 1 hour until bedtime as soon as you leave my beauty salon. Each hour you wash your eyebrows with distilled or filer water you will apply ointment with Q-Tips.  Before bedtime, apply the ointment and seal it by covering eyebrows with food wrap. In addition, during the morning, remove food wrap, wash eyebrows, apply ointment again for the remainder of the 24 hours this will prevent scabbing.

  1. Let Them Breathe

After 24 hours, wash the treated area with a sanitized, damp cloth using only distilled or filtered water only twice a day and apply a very thin layer of ointment after each wash. The eyebrow needs to breathe. Repeat this process for 13 days. Again, this will help with scabbing.

Lastly, …relax. Don’t worry about a thing. It’s just permanent makeup that will lighten, soften, and heal in a matter of days. Above all, follow these instructions and this will ensure you heal properly.

  1. Additional Aftercare Considerations

  • Smoking will affect your results and may cause the pigment to fade prematurely.
  • After your eyebrow procedure, you will be swollen.
    • Some clients will swell minimally, and some will swell more. In other words, everyone heals differently.
    • This can cause the area(s) to appear uneven, red, itchy, and irritated when healing. The area(s) will also appear much darker and thicker than the final result. You can expect eyebrows to fade/shrink anywhere from 10-50%.
    • This typically happens within 3-30 days of the first procedure. Shedding, peeling, or scabbing is common after the treatment as the area heals. DO NOT pick the scabs.
  • Some areas of the eyebrows will fade more than others and as the pigment oxidizes it will start to darken up again over a 2–3-week period. After that, the touch-up, the pigment will hold better as the body is now more used to the pigment in the skin.
  • ALL permanent makeup procedures will require 2 or more procedures and maintenance touch-ups. This is normal and expected. However, your individual skin type & lifestyle will play a major role in the final result.
  • If you currently have or previously had any of the following, please know that the area(s) may require more work and touchups or there’s a chance this pigment WILL NOT take at all:
    • permanent makeup
    • laser tattoo removal
    • Alopecia
    • Trichotillomania,
    • A skin condition,
    • Scar(s) in the brow area
  • Lastly, note that those with darker skin types such as olive skin, African American, Indian, Philippine, people with severely oily skin, sun damage, and other similar skin types.  Be aware that the hair strokes WILL blend more and may look more powdered. In contrast, they may not appear as defined as lighter skin types. Redheads, blondes & fair skin types, will experience more fading & swelling.

What You Must Know Post Eyeliner Tattoo Treatment

The area on your eyelids and around your eyes may feel a little tender within the first 48 hours. Some may experience a little redness on the eyelids too, which generally will disappear within a few hours or so.

It is extremely important that you remember not touch, scrub, scratch or pick at your eyes for 24 hours post eyeliner tattooing. This is because the inside of your eyes may still be numb from the Anaesthetics, which means that you won’t be able to feel if you have torn the delicate corneal areas within.

Fresh eyeliner tattoo will appear a lot darker and thicker than the final healed results, which takes place at between 6-8 weeks time. This is due to a 3 main reasons, the slight post treatment swelling, the Anaesthetics used during the treatment, and the fact that all cosmetic tattoo will shrink in size and fade in colour during the healing process.

What You Need To Know Following A Lip Tattoo Treatment

Following a lip tattooing treatment, your lips may appear larger, poutier than you may be used to. While some clients love this, others may be a little worried. This is to expected, but both the size and color of your freshly tattooed lips will subside over the next couple of days.

Through the healing process, the color of newly tattooed lips can fade at approximately 40-50% the original color. During the first couple of days and possibly the first week post treatment, the color will become quite faint, however, the color will continue to return slow, and up to 3 months in some cases.

It is really important that our Lip Tattoo aftercare instructions are followed diligently for best healed and long lasting results.

High Melanin lip tattoo treatments – for darker lips, your course of lip tattoo lightening treatment may take between 2-3 sessions to achieve a desired lightened result. Thanks For Choosing Us. We Truly Appreciate Your Business, And We Hope You Enjoy Your Eyelashes By Fortune Lash & Brow

A fresh full set of eyelash extensions can change your life! You will probably find yourself addicted after your lash  service, so it’s never too late to learn how to take care your lashes so that they will last longer, continually look gorgeous day by day, and stay in good condition. We hope this information that will benefit both our new and existing clients.

There are three main reasons you would want to look after them properly:

  • First is our lash health. If you regularly do bad things to them as listed below, it can compromise your lash damage and slow down the growth of new lashes. Your lids can become itchy from the buildup of dead skin if they are not cleaned properly.
  • They will look better for longer. Eyelash extensions that have been coated in mascara, oily makeup and strip lashes do not look well.
  • Refill cost and financial/time factors. If you look after your lashes and retain them well, you won’t need to come in as frequently or for extended periods, which will save your money and time. Our refills are charged based on the number of lashes retention that we must replace each time.

Here are our top recommendations:

  • Avoid getting them wet for first 24 hours after application.
  • Avoid excessive moisture, humidity and sweat (this includes steam bath, saunas, hot tubs, or tanning bed) for within 48 hours after procedure
  • Avoid rubbing, touching, picking, or pulling your eyelashes extensions.
  • Avoid using oil-based skincare and heavy makeup around the eyes.
  • Avoid perming, tinting, or using an eyelash curler.
  • Avoid wearing any mascara, any eye makeup or gel eyeliners.
  • Avoid sleeping on your face to reduce the risk of lashes rubbing against pillow.
  • Avoid blowing air conditioning or fans directly on lashes.

Follow Tips and Instructions

  • Keep them dry for 4-6 hours after application. (When it’s wet, use a paper towel to remove excess water. When dry, comb through as usual with your lash brush)
  • Brushing your eyelashes gently every day to keep them neat and tidy.
  • Adjust your sleeping position. Sleep on your back with using a silk pillowcase
  • Apply oil-free makeup remover with your fingers, or you can use a mascara wand. Spray onto wand/fingers, brush through lashes gently, and rinse with warm water.
  • Washing eyelash extensions every day or at least twice a week with foaming lash cleanser.
